Description

Bartlett 'is the #1 pear in the world. The fruit is large with a short but definite neck. The fruit has smooth, waxy, thin, yellow skin that may have a reddish blush. The flesh is white, sweet and tender. Ripens early to midseason. Tolerates hot summers. Requires 800 chill hours. Self-fruitful , but may need a pollinizer in cool California coastal areas and Northwest; use any variety but 'Seckel'
