Description

The bold, dense, lush appearance of 'Monterey Bay' makes it an ideal plant for shearing into formal hedges or shapes. The new foliage retains its coppery red-bronze color for a long time. Mature leaves are deep green, glossy and leathery. Creamy-white flowers in spring are followed by showy deep red-violet cherry-like fruits. As a shrub, Monterey Bay is a richly colored, informal hedge or screen.
